Carol Turner

I paint to see clearly and (more recently) to interpret freely.

Color, juxtaposition, shape, texture, light and shadow interest me, whether in the figure, a still life, or landscape.  I'm also deeply  inspired by seeing the work of other painters whether virtually or literally, observing their visions and trying to discern their techniques.

My work includes representational, simplified and loosely painted representational, and abstract paintings and drawings.  Paintings are available at Bottega  and Thistle Dew Nicely on the Square in Hickory, NC or directly from the artist: paintingsbycarolturner@yahoo.

More of Carol's work is available at Trade Alley Art.
